Wilderness Survival vs. Urban Emergency Preparedness: Myth vs. Truth. A Simple Approach.
Register online, or at the brewery during normal business hours. $30 includes a drink
When we think of survival, we think about getting lost in the woods. However, there are different types of “survival” — Urban and Wilderness. The skills and rules for success in these environments come from ancient knowledge. We recognize their importance by our simple acts of appreciation such as displaying these skills in Museums of Nature History. However, they still work, they are time tested, and we need to know them today. When one learns these skills, one can confidently apply these to any environment.
Shane Hobel is the founder of Mountain Scout Survival School, & has been featured on Doomsday Preppers, Mansome, WPIX 11, Cablevision, History Channel’s MonsterQuest,The New York Times, The New Yorker, and CNN as well as prominent regional newspapers and news stations.
Shane Hobel, also known as ‘White Feather’, was introduced as a child to awareness of nature and martial arts. He continues to walk both paths with integrity today.
This talk will take place in the Game & Event Room at the brewery.
